Systems Engineer – Integration & Deployment (Defence)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Systems Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering complex training systems in a highly secure defence environment. The role covers the full lifecycle from concept through integration, testing and deployment, with a strong focus on practical engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Translate system requirements and architectures into operational solutions.
• Support design, integration, verification and testing activities across the system lifecycle.
• Integrate and configure hardware, software, operating systems, peripherals and networking infrastructure.
• Perform system bring‑up, installation, deployment and commissioning on‑site.
• Execute system verification and validation testing.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across hardware, software and interfaces.
• Produce technical documentation to support deployment and operation.

Required profile

• Experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Test & Integration or a related discipline.
• Proven track record across the full system lifecycle (requirements, design, integration, test & verification).
• Strong hands‑on experience with hardware integration, system configuration, networking and OS/application installation.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and understand system‑level behaviour.
• British National, eligible for SC clearance and comfortable working in a secure environment.
