About the role
We are seeking a Systems Engineer for a 12‑month contract with a leading Defence and Aerospace client. The role is based in Ampthill and offers a competitive rate of £66‑£77 per hour inside IR35.
Key responsibilities
- Support the engineering team across multiple business areas.
- Develop and maintain system models and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Lead verification and validation activities, producing V&A statements.
- Work with communications and RF network architectures.
- Apply relevant defence standards (Def‑Stan, MIL‑STD) and industry best practices.
Required profile
- Proven experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle.
- Hands‑on expertise in modelling and simulation, particularly MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with verification and validation processes.
- Familiarity with defence standards and RF/network concepts.
