Systems Engineer – Radar

About the role

Saab UK is looking for a motivated Systems Engineer to join its Sensor Systems Business Unit in Fareham. You will work on the G1X radar – a software‑defined system that receives regular capability updates – and contribute to both current product enhancements and future growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Support bid activities and manage requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyse radar performance and develop radar algorithms.
• Design systems and sub‑systems for radar and sensor solutions.
• Provide technical support for customer demonstrations.
• Travel within the UK and abroad, including visits to the Gothenburg office.

Required profile

• Positive, social, results‑oriented team player with a proven background in systems engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience with radar, communications or electronic warfare (EW) systems.
• Experience working with MATLAB and recorded radar data.
• Familiarity with a recognised industry‑standard requirements management tool.
