Talent Acquisition Officer – Fixed‑Term (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Join a respected professional services firm as a Talent Acquisition Officer on a fixed‑term maternity cover. You will own the full recruitment lifecycle while gaining exposure to broader HR activities within a supportive, collaborative People Team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment: write adverts, source candidates, conduct interviews, extend offers and oversee onboarding.
• Build strong relationships with hiring managers, providing recruitment advice and ensuring efficient processes.
• Coordinate interviews, assessments, candidate communications and recruitment administration.
• Maintain and develop the Applicant Tracking System, supporting managers in its effective use.
• Develop relationships with agencies, schools, colleges and universities to support attraction initiatives.
• Represent the organisation at career fairs, recruitment events and networking opportunities.
• Support onboarding activities, including references, compliance checks and induction planning.
• Assist with wider HR administration and employee‑lifecycle tasks as needed.
• Produce recruitment reports and analyse metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition with full‑cycle responsibility.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, relationship‑focused approach.
• Confidence in learning and using new HR systems.

Required skills

• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
