Tax Accountant

About the role

This newly created senior position supports the Director of Finance for Europe & Asia at a prestigious global law firm. Based in London, the role covers tax and management accounting for the firm’s European offices and collaborates with global teams on complex financial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with local regulations across European jurisdictions.
• Analyse financial data to identify tax implications and opportunities.
• Prepare VAT calculations and documentation for all European offices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather tax information.
• Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Maintain accurate tax records and assist with special projects, including new office openings.
• Work with the Lead Accountant, Asia on tax return materials for multiple offices.
• Contribute to Pillar 2 reporting and provide management reporting as directed by the Director of Finance.

Required profile

• Strong background in tax and management accounting.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across jurisdictions.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and proactive.
