Tax Accountant / Manager – Personal Tax Senior/Assistant Manager

About the role

Join a respected, growing accountancy practice as a Personal Tax Senior or Assistant Manager. You will work within a close‑knit tax team, managing a portfolio of personal tax clients while supporting compliance and advisory projects for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients and meet all filing deadlines.
• Prepare personal tax computations and returns for review.
• Review tax work prepared by colleagues outside the tax team.
• Handle complex HMRC correspondence and enquiries.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and clients.
• Assist with tax planning, advisory assignments and identify planning opportunities.
• Advise on Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax matters.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to specialist projects.

Required profile

• ATT qualification.
• 5‑6 years post‑qualified personal tax experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of personal taxation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Good commercial awareness and client‑facing skills.

Required skills

• CCH Personal Tax software (desirable).
