Tax Advisory Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Advisory Manager to join our client’s team in Newcastle. You will lead bespoke tax advisory projects across personal and business tax areas, supporting both clients and internal non‑tax staff.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage client relationships to minimise churn and identify ‘wow’ moments.
• Provide specialist tax advice while mitigating risk for both the company and clients.
• Contribute to marketing activities such as events, networking and content creation.
• Act as a role model, demonstrating high standards of performance and conduct.
• Meet productivity targets, KPIs and deadlines.
• Stay up‑to‑date with technical tax updates and regulatory changes.
• Participate in technical, soft‑skill and leadership training.
• Deliver proactive business‑advisor services to help clients achieve their goals.

Required profile

• CTA qualified or qualified by experience with at least 3 years of tax advisory experience.
• Post‑qualification experience (PQE) desirable but not essential.
• Corporate tax experience preferred.
• Strong analytical ability with a big‑picture perspective.
• Commercial awareness and solid business acumen.
• Excellent client‑focused communication and ability to meet targets.

Required skills

• CTA qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Knowledge of corporate tax regulations.
