Tax Lead – Finance & Taxation

About the role

This Tax Lead role supports a leading UK leisure, travel and tourism business, overseeing tax compliance and advisory activities. You will ensure the organisation meets its tax obligations while providing strategic insight to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage ongoing tax compliance, statutory filings and related reporting.
• Review asset‑related tax considerations throughout the financial year.
• Coordinate corporation tax, VAT and other statutory submissions to meet deadlines.
• Prepare financial statement disclosures and supporting documentation.
• Maintain relationships with external advisers and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor tax legislation changes and assess potential impacts.
• Support governance reviews and internal control enhancements.
• Contribute to group‑level reporting and information requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements and system developments.

Required profile

• Professional tax or accounting qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing corporation tax and VAT obligations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Clear communication of complex tax information.
• Proven collaborative work with internal and external stakeholders.
