Tax Manager – Family Office & Private Client

About the role

KPMG is seeking a Tax Manager to join its Family Office & Private Client team in Bristol. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality personal tax advice to high‑net‑worth individuals and entrepreneurial businesses, covering both UK and international tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive personal tax services, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax and international tax advice.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of complex clients, identifying tax planning opportunities and delivering bespoke solutions.
• Lead tax advisory projects, ensuring deadlines, risk management and compliance procedures are met.
• Oversee work‑in‑progress, prompt billing and cash collection.
• Support the development and performance of partially and newly qualified staff.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or tax adviser (ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA) with experience in personal tax.
• Strong academic record and deep understanding of issues facing private clients.
• Proven ability to manage high‑value client relationships and complex tax assignments.

Required skills

• Personal tax advisory expertise (inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax, international tax).
