Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead our corporate and personal tax practice in Milton Keynes. You will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, delivering high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services while ensuring all filings meet HMRC deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns (CT600), trust returns and personal self‑assessment filings, as well as VAT, PAYE and other statutory submissions.
• Provide proactive tax planning and advisory support on capital gains, inheritance tax, dividend strategies and business restructurings.
• Maintain strong client relationships, communicating complex tax matters clearly and delivering excellent service.
• Supervise junior tax team members, review their work and promote efficient, high‑quality processes.
• Stay up‑to‑date with UK tax legislation and HMRC updates, informing clients and internal teams of relevant changes.
• Identify business development opportunities, contribute to proposals and support new client acquisition.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in both personal and corporate tax within the UK.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Proactive, organised and committed to delivering high‑quality work.
