Tax Semi-Senior – Accountancy Practice

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Semi‑Senior to join our friendly, supportive accountancy practice. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior leadership and deliver high‑quality tax services to a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sole trader year‑end accounts, financial statements, and tax computations.
• Assist clients with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements and implementation.
• Provide tax and financial support to a varied client portfolio.
• Support strategic consultancy and financial management services as required.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Work closely with senior management to ensure excellent client care and smooth day‑to‑day operations.
• Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve efficiency, processes, and technology within the practice.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• ATT qualified or qualified by experience with at least 5 years of relevant practice experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Proactive approach with interest in improving systems and ways of working.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
