Tax Senior – Experienced Tax Advisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join a respected accountancy practice in Swindon. You will work with a varied client base that includes owner‑managed businesses, high‑net‑worth individuals, partnerships and limited companies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients.
• Prepare and review personal tax returns, partnership returns and corporation tax computations.
• Provide tax planning advice to individuals and businesses, covering capital gains, inheritance and remuneration matters.
• Assist clients with HMRC enquiries and investigations.
• Identify tax‑saving opportunities and proactively advise clients.
• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide coaching.
• Ensure all compliance deadlines are met accurately and efficiently.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser.
• Collaborate with partners, directors and managers on advisory projects.
• Stay up‑to‑date with UK tax legislation and communicate implications to clients.

Required profile

• ATT qualified, ACA/ACCA qualified or studying towards CTA.
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice or specialist tax environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK personal and corporate taxation.
• Proven experience managing a client portfolio.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
