Tax Senior

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established accountancy practice in Chester to find an experienced Tax Senior. This client‑facing position offers ownership of a portfolio, the chance to mentor junior staff, and close collaboration with managers and partners on diverse tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal and/or corporate tax clients.
• Prepare and review tax computations and returns.
• Act as the primary point of contact for client queries and provide tax advice.
• Assist with complex tax projects and advisory work.
• Review and guide the work of junior team members.
• Ensure all compliance deadlines are met accurately.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in tax legislation and best practice.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a tax role within an accountancy practice.
• Part‑qualified or qualified ACA / ACCA / CTA (or equivalent).
• Strong technical knowledge of personal and/or corporate tax.
• Confident communicator with a client‑focused mindset.
• Well‑organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
