Tax Senior Manager / Director Designate

About the role

This position is for a Tax Senior Manager / Director Designate within a fast‑growing chartered accountancy firm in Exeter. You will be responsible for delivering tax compliance, planning and advisory services to a diverse client base while supporting the firm’s expansion, particularly in the property sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver tax compliance and accounts for a wide range of clients.
• Lead complex tax planning projects, including capital gains, SDLT, VAT, inheritance tax and ATED.
• Provide advisory support on property‑related tax issues and capital allowances.
• Mentor, review work and develop junior team members.
• Contribute to the growth of the firm’s property sector division.

Required profile

• Qualified CTA, ATT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Significant experience in tax advisory and compliance within an accountancy practice or specialist tax firm.
• Demonstrable experience or strong interest in property tax matters.
• Current senior‑managerial level (Manager, Senior Manager, Associate Director, etc.).
