Teacher of Computing & IT

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position starts in September 2026 at an 11‑16 secondary school in Leeds. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering both vocational and academic pathways in Computing, ICT and iMedia.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging Computer Science, ICT and Creative iMedia lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Develop curriculum resources that balance foundational digital skills with advanced programming concepts.
• Assess and analyse student performance data to identify learning gaps and inform targeted interventions.
• Provide differentiated instruction, adapting content for EAL and SEND learners.
• Maintain accurate lesson plans, grading records and administrative documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑curricular staff to promote interdisciplinary projects.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Degree or strong academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related digital discipline.
• Legal entitlement to work full‑time in the UK.
