Teacher of Humanities

About the role

This full‑time, temporary position starts in September and offers an immediate impact in a vibrant secondary school. You will deliver engaging, academically rigorous lessons in History, Geography and Religious Studies while working within a supportive, well‑structured environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Humanities lessons across the three subject areas.
• Establish and maintain clear classroom routines and micro‑routines.
• Manage behaviour effectively, de‑escalating disruptions and applying swift, consistent corrections.
• Analyse student data to inform instruction and track progress.
• Build positive relationships with a diverse student body.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
• Degree or strong academic background in History, Geography or a related Humanities discipline.
• Legal entitlement to work full‑time in the UK.
