Teacher of Travel & Tourism (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Academics is partnering with a welcoming secondary school and sixth form in Thanet to cover a maternity leave for a full‑time Teacher of Travel & Tourism. The appointment starts in September 2026 and is initially for six months, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging BTEC Travel & Tourism Level 2 and Level 3 lessons.
• Monitor and assess student progress in line with BTEC requirements.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with department colleagues and the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Travel & Tourism, preferably at BTEC Level 2 or 3.
• Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
• Passion for vocational education and student success.
