Teaching Assistant – 1:1 SEND Support (Primary School, Haringey)

About the role

This full‑time, temporary position offers a rewarding opportunity to work one‑to‑one with a pupil who has special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in a welcoming primary school in Haringey. You will support the child’s emotional wellbeing and learning while collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCo.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to the assigned pupil throughout the school day.
• Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and developing confidence.
• Promote an inclusive learning environment and encourage independence.
• Monitor and record the pupil’s progress and share updates with teachers and parents.
• Support the child’s emotional wellbeing and help manage any behavioural challenges.

Required profile

• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work closely with teachers, SENCo and parents.
• Psychology graduates are highly encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required; a caring attitude and ability to follow guidance are essential.

What we offer

• Daily rate between £85.50 and £110 (inclusive of holiday pay).
