Teaching Assistant – Bebington (Wirral)

About the role
We are seeking passionate and reliable Teaching Assistants to support secondary school students (KS3 & KS4) in Bebington, Wirral, starting in September. This temporary, full‑time or part‑time role offers flexible working during the school term.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group academic support to students aged 11‑16.
- Assist teachers in delivering structured lessons and maintaining classroom focus.
- Encourage positive behaviour, attendance and active participation.
- Help students with revision, coursework and development of study habits.
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs and monitor progress.
- Give constructive feedback to teachers on student performance.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children or young people (e.g., support worker, tutor, youth worker, care worker).
- Genuine passion for mentoring secondary‑school students.
- Strong communication and classroom management abilities.
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.
