About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support secondary school students (KS3 & KS4) in Bromborough, Wirral, starting this September. The role offers flexible full‑time or term‑time options, allowing you to balance work with your summer plans.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group academic support to pupils aged 11‑16.
- Collaborate with subject teachers to keep lessons structured and focused.
- Encourage positive behaviour, attendance and active participation.
- Assist students with revision, coursework and developing study habits.
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
- Monitor progress and give feedback to teachers.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a support, tutoring or care role.
- Genuine passion for mentoring secondary‑school students.
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Required skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Active listening.
- Classroom management.
