Teaching Assistant – Early Years (Part‑time)

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Chester. This part‑time position runs on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, offering a balanced work schedule while supporting young learners in a nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, play‑based learning activities.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support their social, emotional and academic development.
- Promote independence, confidence and communication through tailored activities.
- Help maintain a safe, positive and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
- Support observations and assessments as required.
Required profile
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Early Years qualification, or an equivalent recognised credential.
- Recent experience working in an EYFS setting.
- Good understanding of the EYFS Framework.
- Enthusiastic, patient and committed to helping young children thrive.
- Team‑player who builds positive relationships with pupils and staff.
