About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Acton, Ealing from September 2026. The role focuses on supporting early years foundation stage (EYFS) pupils, delivering high‑quality phonics sessions and leading targeted intervention groups.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons.
- Design and deliver small‑group phonics interventions.
- Lead additional EYFS intervention groups to boost academic and social development.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment for all children.
- Build constructive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience working within EYFS in a primary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of phonics teaching methods.
- Enhanced DBS certificate with the Update Service.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
