Teaching Assistant – Flexible Roles for Drama Students

About the role

We are looking for drama students and recent graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in primary schools across Swindon. The role is designed to fit around your study or acting commitments, offering short‑term, long‑term or day‑by‑day placements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Support pupils individually or in small groups, reinforcing learning objectives.
• Help prepare teaching materials and maintain a tidy learning environment.
• Provide supervision during breaks, assemblies and extracurricular events.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and complete any required paperwork.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a drama programme or a recent graduate.
• Legal right to work in the UK and able to obtain a DBS check.
• Flexible availability to work Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm.
• Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting teachers.

Required skills

• Good communication and listening abilities.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Basic organisational skills for classroom support.
