About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding independent school in North London, supporting neurodivergent pupils aged 7‑19. The role focuses on children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD and other complex needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group academic support to students with ASD, ADHD, anxiety or communication challenges.
- Promote an inclusive classroom atmosphere and deliver emotional support when required.
- Implement behaviour‑management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Assist teachers with lesson planning, delivery and classroom resources.
- Follow safeguarding policies to ensure student safety and wellbeing.
Required profile
- Right to work in the UK and a current DBS check.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant, preferably with neurodivergent learners.
- Understanding of autism spectrum disorder and ability to engage confidently with students.
- Patient, proactive attitude and capacity to work under pressure.
