Teaching Assistant for Primary School (SEN Support)

About the role

We are partnering with a vibrant primary school in Uxbridge to find a dedicated Teaching Assistant. The role focuses on supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) both inside and outside the classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in delivering lessons to SEN pupils.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support tailored to each child's needs.
• Help manage physical, behavioural, or learning difficulties under teacher supervision.
• Adapt learning activities to create a safe and stimulating environment.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Patience and the ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
• Flexibility to adjust to different activities and classroom settings.
• Residency in Kingston or a commutable distance to Uxbridge.

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal skills for motivating pupils.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
