Teaching Assistant for Primary School (SEN Support)

About the role
We are partnering with a vibrant primary school in Uxbridge to find a dedicated Teaching Assistant. The role focuses on supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) both inside and outside the classroom.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the teacher in delivering lessons to SEN pupils.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support tailored to each child's needs.
- Help manage physical, behavioural, or learning difficulties under teacher supervision.
- Adapt learning activities to create a safe and stimulating environment.
Required profile
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Patience and the ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
- Flexibility to adjust to different activities and classroom settings.
- Residency in Kingston or a commutable distance to Uxbridge.
Required skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for motivating pupils.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
