Teaching Assistant for SEN School

About the role

Reeson Education is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated SEN school in Uxbridge. You will work closely with pupils who have autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties, helping them thrive in an inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with special educational needs.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development.
• Support students in building independence and confidence.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support.
• Adapt learning materials to meet individual pupil needs.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (SEN experience desirable but not essential).
• Patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude towards children.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Genuine desire to support children with additional learning needs.
