About the role
We are looking for a dynamic Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Bristol from September 2026. This role is ideal for former swim teachers or coaches who want to apply their experience in behaviour management, confidence‑building and one‑to‑one support within a classroom setting.
Key responsibilities
- Provide targeted support to pupils individually or in small groups during lessons.
- Assist teachers with delivering curriculum activities and maintaining engagement.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment.
- Offer pastoral care, encouragement and confidence‑building for young learners.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a swim teacher, coach or instructor.
- Comfortable working with children and young people.
- Strong communication and behaviour management abilities.
- Willingness to hold a current or obtain an enhanced DBS check.
Required skills
- Experience in coaching or instructing groups.
- Ability to support learning development and confidence.

- Competitive daily rate of £90–£105 inclusive of statutory holiday pay.
