Teaching Assistant – Full‑time Temporary Role

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a secondary school in Liverpool. This full‑time, temporary position starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners' academic and emotional development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, material handling and equipment setup.
• Support classroom behaviour management to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide emotional guidance and monitor student well‑being, reporting concerns as needed.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure student safety at all times.
• Collaborate closely with teachers to facilitate smooth lesson delivery.

Required profile

• Teaching Assistant qualification or higher (desirable).
• Previous experience working with young people.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one) registered with the online update service.
• At least two professional references covering the last 24 months.
