About the role
Hays Education is partnering with welcoming primary schools in Harborne (B17) to recruit enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for the new academic year starting September 2026. The role offers both full‑time and part‑time options and may lead to long‑term or permanent positions.
Key responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
- Work with small groups to reinforce learning.
- Provide one‑to‑one support where needed.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
- Assist with classroom preparation and daily routines.
Required profile
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or youth‑work setting.
- Passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability, proactivity and adaptability.
- TA qualification (Level 2/3, CACHE, NVQ or equivalent) preferred.
