Teaching Assistant – High School (Preston)

About the role
We are looking for a full‑time Teaching Assistant to join a high‑school in Preston from September. You will support pupils across KS3 and KS4, either in the whole class or on a 1:1 basis, helping them achieve their learning goals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to pupils across KS3 and KS4, either in whole‑class settings or one‑to‑one.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation, delivery and classroom organisation.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN provision.
- Maintain a positive behaviour environment and help manage classroom dynamics.
Required profile
- Recent experience working with children or young adults.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Willingness to work full‑time (5 days a week) in a high‑school setting.
- Open mind and commitment to the role.
Required skills
- Behaviour management.
- Ability to build relationships with pupils and staff.
