Teaching Assistant – Honiton (September Start)

About the role

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support primary classrooms in Honiton and surrounding schools from September. This role offers both full‑time and part‑time options and is focused on term‑time work.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Work with pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Help children build confidence and make progress across subjects.
• Promote positive behaviour and active classroom participation.
• Prepare learning resources and maintain a tidy classroom environment.
• Support pupils with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive atmosphere.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable).
• Positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Passion for helping children succeed.
• Relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Reliability, adaptability, and eagerness to support pupil development.
