Teaching Assistant

About the role

Randstad Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants for SEN schools across Merseyside. You will support children from EYFS up to Post‑16 with a range of special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to provide support during lessons.
• Provide general support to the class teacher, such as setting up the classroom for lessons.
• Support pupils with SEN and develop strategies to best support their needs.
• Liaise with the class teacher and other professionals to discuss pupil progress.
• Provide additional support with lunch and break duties where needed.
• Report any concerns to the SENCo.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a school or similar role (advantage).
• Enhanced Child DBS (or willingness to apply).
• Experience with SEN (desirable).
