Teaching Assistant – KS1 (1‑2‑1) – Wirral

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 1 pupil on a 1‑to‑1 basis in a Wirral school. You will work closely with the class teacher to ensure daily routines run smoothly and learning activities are engaging.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support for a KS1 child, reinforcing classroom instruction.
- Assist the teacher with managing daily routines and small‑group activities.
- Help modify challenging behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Support the child with personal, social and academic tasks throughout the day.
Required profile
- Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant transferable experience in care.
- Proactive, supportive attitude with confidence working with children of varying abilities.
- Strong communication skills, patience and ability to follow teacher directions.
- Genuine passion for education and flexibility to adapt to classroom needs.
