Teaching Assistant – KS1 Intervention Support (Mon‑Wed)

About the role

An inclusive primary school in Tottenham is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support KS1 pupils on a Monday‑Wednesday schedule. The role starts immediately and is expected to continue into the next academic year, offering a stable part‑time position within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support phonics sessions for KS1 learners.
• Provide one‑to‑one learning assistance to pupils needing extra help.
• Deliver targeted group interventions.
• Assist the classroom teacher with daily lesson delivery.
• Promote pupil confidence, engagement and progress.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of phonics.
• Positive, patient and proactive attitude.
• Ability to commit to a Monday‑Wednesday schedule.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Knowledge of KS1 curriculum and phonics programmes.
• Experience delivering 1:1 and small‑group support.
