Teaching Assistant – KS1 (Primary)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hayes. The role supports the Key Stage 1 classroom, helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in delivering the KS1 curriculum.
• Work one‑to‑one or with small groups to reinforce learning.
• Help plan and prepare teaching resources and organise the classroom.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Support pupils' emotional and social development.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a primary school or similar educational setting.
• Energetic, patient and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Required skills

• Capability to support individual learners and small groups.
• Strong organisational skills for resource preparation.
• Effective communication with pupils and staff.
