Teaching Assistant (KS2 Year 5)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a large Year 5 class at a one‑form entry primary school in Ellesmere Port. The role starts in September and runs full‑time until Christmas, with the potential to become permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering KS2 lessons.
• Assist with the preparation and execution of lesson plans.
• Provide one‑to‑one and group support to pupils as needed.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate closely with the teaching team and contribute to daily routines.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a KS2 Teaching Assistant.
• Proof of right to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate).
• Curriculum Vitae covering at least ten years of education or employment history.
• Fully enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one (cost reimbursed).

Required skills

• Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and Year 5 learning objectives.
• Ability to follow and support lesson plans.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
