Teaching Assistant – KS4 SEMH Provision

About the role
We are looking for a confident and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist KS4 SEMH provision in Speke, Liverpool. You will support 14‑16‑year‑old students with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them engage in learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Support students aged 14‑16 within the classroom and across the school environment.
- Build strong relationships and promote positive behaviour.
- Assist with learning activities and encourage student engagement.
- Help students regulate emotions and develop social skills.
- Collaborate closely with teaching and pastoral staff to provide consistent support.
Required profile
- Experience working with young people, especially in challenging behaviour situations.
- Background in sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, care or education is highly advantageous.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and act as a positive role model.
- Willingness to become fully involved in school life.
