Teaching Assistant – Learning Support – Special Needs

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a highly respected specialist school in Addlestone. You will work in a purpose‑designed environment supporting autistic children and young people, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group learning support for pupils with autism and other special educational needs.
• Assist classroom teachers in delivering personalised lesson plans and adapting resources.
• Collaborate with clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and other specialists.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting observations to senior staff.
• Participate in outreach, training, and community support activities.

Required profile

• Passion for working with children who have special educational needs, particularly autism.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to shadow and learn from multidisciplinary professionals.
• Commitment to start full‑time in September 2026.
