About the role
The school in Blackburn is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to start in September 2026. This is a full‑time, temporary position lasting for the academic year, working five days a week from 08:45 to 15:30.
Key responsibilities
- Support a Year 4 class with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group assistance to help pupils understand material and complete tasks.
- Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Manage classroom resources and set up activities.
- Supervise students during lunch, recess and other non‑classroom times.
- Help monitor and record student progress.
Required profile
- Holding a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with children.
- Good organisational abilities and teamwork orientation.
- Commitment to professional growth and development.
