Teaching Assistant & MDSA – Fixed‑Term Role at Primary School

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who will also take on the role of a Meal Distribution and Support Assistant (MDSA) at Alderbury and West Grimstead CofE Primary School. This fixed‑term position runs until 31 August 2027 and offers a supportive environment where you can help young learners thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons for early years pupils.
• Assist children during lunchtime and playtime, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with staff to create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Follow the school’s safeguarding and health‑and‑safety policies.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and pupil progress where required.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required; focus is on interpersonal and organisational abilities.
