About the role
Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with secondary schools in St Helens to source enthusiastic Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and Classroom Support Assistants. The role involves supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping teachers create inclusive lessons, and promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Support students individually and in small groups to raise attainment and confidence.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' wellbeing.
- Adapt support to meet a range of learning abilities and needs.
Required profile
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- Patient, adaptable and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
