Teaching Assistant – Primary Academy (Part‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role
We are seeking two enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join Wellington Eagles Primary Academy, a vibrant 4‑11 primary school within the Ascend Learning Trust. This part‑time, fixed‑term position supports staff and pupils throughout the school day, helping to deliver an engaging curriculum.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support for pupils who need additional help.
- Help prepare learning resources and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils during break times, lunch, and other school routines.
- Contribute to the pastoral care of students, promoting resilience and collaboration.
Required profile
- Passion for working with children aged 4‑11 in an educational setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families.
- Commitment to the values of the Ascend Learning Trust, including inclusivity and high expectations.
- Flexibility to work the term‑time schedule (32.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday).

- Competitive salary band Grade C2‑4 (£24,796‑£25,185 per year, pro‑rated for part‑time).
