Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Full-time)

About the role

Teaching Personnel are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a primary school class in Lymington, New Forest. The role supports KS2 pupils, helping the class teacher with learning activities and classroom routines in a full-time, temporary capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering KS2 curriculum and learning activities.
• Support pupils individually and in groups to reinforce understanding.
• Help maintain a positive, safe and organised classroom environment.
• Contribute to the implementation of SEN strategies where required.
• Undertake routine tasks such as preparing resources and supervising pupils during breaks.

Required profile

• Kind, patient and enthusiastic about children’s learning.
• Reliable, adaptable and eager to learn.
• Willingness to obtain or hold a DBS check on the Update Service.
• Minimum two years of employment history.

Required skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
