Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Full‑time, Billericay)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Billericay from September 2026. This full‑time, year‑long position offers the chance to work closely with experienced teachers, supporting pupils throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils individually and in small groups during lessons.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities, learning tasks, and resource preparation.
• Help children stay engaged, motivated and confident.
• Provide additional guidance to pupils who need extra support.
• Encourage positive behaviour and good learning habits.
• Contribute to creating an inclusive and enjoyable classroom environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience working within a primary school.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s education.
• Patient, approachable and positive personality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, proactive and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Ability to support children with diverse learning needs.
