About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Barking and Dagenham. The role supports pupils across the classroom, helping them engage with learning, build confidence and reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Work with pupils individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage active participation.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff.
Required profile
- GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above).
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of SEN and intervention strategies (desirable).
- Degree in Education, Psychology or related subject (desirable).
