Teaching Assistant – Primary School (SEND Support)

About the role

Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Manchester (M19) from September 2026. The role is full‑time and long‑term, offering the chance to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally in a fast‑paced, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality classroom support to teachers and pupils.
• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small‑group interventions.
• Support pupils with SEND, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs.
• Assist with behaviour management and promote positive outcomes.
• Help plan, prepare resources and maintain an organised learning space.
• Lead a class temporarily during short‑term staff absence.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
• Participate actively in the wider school community.

Required profile

• Resilient and committed with a genuine passion for making a difference.
• Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and additional learning needs is highly desirable.
• Ability to build positive relationships that encourage confidence and engagement.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
