About the role
We are looking for a compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a well‑established primary school in Swindon. The role supports classroom learning across Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping pupils achieve their full potential. It offers a fast‑track entry point for recent graduates or experienced assistants seeking a new challenge.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering creative, well‑planned lessons across core and foundation subjects.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support for pupils, including those with ASD, behavioural issues or learning difficulties.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Contribute to the preparation of teaching resources and classroom materials.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, offering feedback to teachers.
Required profile
- Enthusiastic, reliable and eager to work with young children.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Flexibility to adapt to the varied needs of a primary classroom.
- Willingness to work full‑time (8:30 am – 3:30 pm) and start immediately.
