About the role
This full‑time Teaching Assistant position is based in a successful primary school in Chester. The role starts on 2 September 2026 and runs until the October half‑term. You will work alongside the class teacher to support lesson delivery and create a positive learning environment for pupils, including those with SEMH needs.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEND and SEMH requirements.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Support the implementation of individual education plans.
- Contribute to the preparation of teaching resources and classroom materials.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream primary school.
- Previous work within a specialist SEND provision.
- Right to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate).
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost reimbursed).
