Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support primary‑school classrooms in Cambridge and surrounding areas starting September 2026. You will work alongside teachers to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives.
• Prepare and organise classroom materials and resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil participation.
• Support pupils with diverse learning needs, ensuring inclusivity.

Required profile

• Positive, patient and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Previous experience with children is desirable but not mandatory.
