Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Leeds)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils in primary schools across Leeds. The role is term‑time only and offers the chance to gain classroom experience without needing formal qualifications. You will work alongside teachers to create a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group learning support.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom routines.
• Support pupils to stay focused and engaged.
• Supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes.
• Build positive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents/carers.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Qualifications in childcare or education are a bonus, not essential.
• Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
• Valid enhanced DBS check and appropriate training for the role.
